Use Pattern Of Library & Information Centre By Medical Practitioners In Medical Research Institutes At Bangalore: A Study

This paper is the result of survey carried out the utilization of medical college library by medical practitioners in Bangalore as pilot study. Here the researcher tried to trace the information needs of health science practitioners in medical research institutes at Bangalore city. With regard to the library usage 698 (97.20%) claimed that they visited the library to study and use web resources for research and reference work. 397 (56.90%) stated they are frequently visit to access web resources this is followed by 383 (55.50%) respondents to refer journals.

Efficacy Of Redox Agent On Subgingival Microflora In Chronic Periodontitis- A Microbiological Evaluation

Background: An alternative approach to conventional antimicrobial or antiseptic agents in the suppression of subgingival bacteria is to inhibit the growth by changing the subgingival ecology. The subgingival environment has been demonstrated to have a low redox potential which supports the growth and survival of subgingival anaerobic bacteria. Redox agents, such as methylene blue raise the redox potential of an ecosystem. Aim: To study the effects of methylene blue incorporated into chitosan strips on clinical parameters and on Porphyromonas. gingivalis, Prevotella.

Load Flow Analysis Of Jamshoro Thermal Power Station (Jtps) Pakistan Using Matlab Programming

This effort aims to analyze the active and reactive power flows, line losses, voltage profile and magnitude of angle at different buses of JTPS. This investigation is carried out for economical scheduling, proper future planning, and operation control. It involves iterative methods, which creates problems analytically, particularly if the size of systems is large. Additionally, it consumes more time in comparison to other methods. Thus, MATLAB programming software package developed by authors is used for above stated enquiry.

Subepithelial Connective Tissue Graft

Gingival recession possesses a concern for a patients and a therapeutic problem for clinicians. Recession is the common finding in most of the patients visiting dental clinics. Millers Class I and Class 2 recessions can be treated surgically with predictable results. Procedure with subepithelial connective tissue graft has given good and esthetically pleasing results.

Cost Analysıs Of Pressure Ulcers, Inpatıent Falls And Medıcatıon Errors İn Acıbadem Healthcare Group

Objective: Calculate the cost of treatment of pressure ulcers, inpatient falls and medication errors in Acibadem Healthcare Group (AHG) hospitals. Method: The cost of treatment of patients developing pressure ulcers by stages, inpatient falls by groups and total medication errors in AHG hospitals was calculated for 2014. These costs were gathered through pricing department. Population: All patients developing pressure ulcers, inpatient falls and medication errors in 12 hospitals of AHGin 2014.

Nutrient Evaluation And Degradation Characteristics Of Some Browse Plants In Taraba State - Nigeria

The experiment was conducted at the livestock teaching and research farm of Taraba State University Jalingo, using twenty (20) browse plants commonly found in Ardo-Kola, Jalingo and Lau local government of Taraba State, Nigeria. The browse plants were subjected to chemical composition and rumen degradability study at 6, 12, 24, 48 and 72 hours. Three grams (3g) of each sample in triplicate was transferred into nylon bags and incubated in the rumen of a fistulated bull weighing about 357kg.

Procalcitonin As A Reliable Bio Marker For Detection Of Surgical Site Infection Following Orthopaedic Surgery

Background: Early detection of SSI is very important to prevent morbidity and complications. At present there is a lack of biomarker which can accurately diagnose such infections. Serum Procalcitonin (PCT), at 0.09 ng/ml is found to be an accurate marker for early detection of bacterial infections. The objective of this research was to assess the diagnostic significance of procalcitonin as a emerging biomarker in early identification of SSI as other markers like ESR, CRP, WBC may not reliably differentiate between systemic inflammatory response and bacterial infection.

A Prospective Study On The Efficacy Of Cisplatin And Etoposide Combination Chemotherapy In Patients With Malignant Gonadal Germ Cell Tumors

Malignant gonadal germ cell tumors are the rare malignant tumors .It occurs in young individuals at the peak of their reproductive life between 18- 45yrs. First line therapy with three and four drugs regimen increases the survival of 80-90% with increased drug induced toxicity. Two drug regimen with cisplatin and etoposide results in improved survival rate with reduced drug induced morbidity. The study was carried out in a tertiary care hospital for a period of 21 months. Twenty six patients were selected and six patients were excluded.

Education for interreligious dialogue. Interactive situational methods for learning of students

The issue of interreligious dialogue is considered theoretical, didactic and methodological aspect. This dialogue is conceptualized in four aspects: pedagogical paradigm, informative and personal. Interreligious dialogue is seen as a skill that develops. To construct this special environment, specify the principles and methods of education. Provide empirical research related to the needs of today's students develop interreligious skills. The empirical study outlines simulation-based training to develop pedagogical interfaith dialogue.

Comparision Of Effects Of Triceps Surae Stretching By Ts Stretching Device Vs Manual Stretching In Spastic Cp Diplegics

Equinus foot in spastic diplegic children is a major problem due to spasticity in gastrocnemius muscle that affects normal gait cycle, balance, and ADL. As per literature, though stretching is used as a technique for therapeutic management of spasticity, but current level of evidence to support the effectiveness of passive stretching in reducing spasticity in spastic CP children remains weak.
