Study on the antimicrobial properties of adhatoda vasica and leucas aspera for some common human pathogenic Bacteriae

The present study aimed at the analysis of sensitivity of E. Coli and Klebsiella to the plant extracts of Adhatoda vasica and Leucas aspera. The ethanolic extract of these two medicinal plants traditionally used in medicine, were studied for their antibacterial activity against the common human pathogens. Both the medicinal plant extracts showed inhibitory activity against the bacteriae.

Cutaneous angiosarcoma after treated breast cancer: A case of Stewart- Treves syndrome

Cutaneous angiosarcoma (AS) is an aggressive malignant tumor. Chronic lymphedema is one of the major risk factor. Colled Stewart- Treves, It typically presents in women who develop lymphedema in the upper extremity secondary to axillary lymph node dissection for breast cancer surgery. We report a case of a 77-year-old women who underwent 12 year ago: a total mastectomy with an axillary lymph node dissection and an adjuvant chemotherapy and radiotherapy for left breast carcinoma, she presented 3 months ago edema on the left upper limb, Skin biopsy confirmed the diagnosis of angiosarcoma.

The role of the dentist is essential in the rehabilitation of the oral cavity after surgery. The removal of tumors in the mandibular zone often generates disorders of the orofacial system and important occlusal-functional alterations. The complexity of prosthetic rehabilitation in these patients lies in the management of all these post-surgical reorganizations of anatomical -biological reorganizations.

Standardization of drugs in ayurveda – A Short Review

Standardization of drugs means confirmation of its identity and determination of its quality and purity. In the current clinical practice, Medicinal plants has became the richest bio-resource of drugs for traditional systems of medicine, modern medicines, nutraceuticals, food supplements, folk medicines, pharmaceutical intermediates and chemical entities for synthetic drugs. In view of the increasing needs of the population, shortage of authentic raw material, present trends of commercialisation and the preparation, marketing of Ayurvedic medicines has led to adulteration.

Introduction: Hypophosphatasia (HPP) is a disease that was first described by the canadian pediatrician John Campbell Rathbun in 1948. The objective of this work is to define hypophosphatasia and its various clinical forms, to define the repercussions of the HPP on the oral cavity, to establish the means of diagnosis and to describe the management of this pathology. Materials and methods: To achieve these objectives, we adopted two documentary research strategies: computer research and manual research. Then we chose some recent and relevant articles that we read correctly.

Esthetic and functional management of insuffisant prothetic space using a guided osteoplasty approach

A prominent osteomucosal ridge with a high smile line in the complete edentulous patient should not escape our vigilance during the clinical examination, as it may compromise the aesthetic result of prosthetic rehabilitation. This prominence will create insufficient prosthetic space, which makes it difficult or even impossible to assemble the anterior teeth. The aesthetic problem becomes even more complicated in the case of asymmetry of the osteomucosal defect. In such a situation, pre-prosthetic surgery is required.

Bioremoval of some heavy metals from aqueous solutions by dead biomass of nocardia takedensis kw27

Environmental contamination by toxic heavy metals is causing a serious problem worldwide due to their incremented accumulation in food chain and continued persistence ecosystem. Sixty-five isolates of actinomycetes were isolated from different regions in Egypt. The eleven isolates which were removed any studied heavy metals, cu2+, pb2+ and cd2+. singly above 70% was selected to remove metals from ternary mixture for studied metals ions. The highest removing percentage was recorded by kw27 isolate which was removed 70.8 %, 76.3 %, and 61.7 % from Cu2+, Pb2+ and Cd2+ respectively.

This article shows the role of the national press in covering the socio-economic processes in Turkestan in the early 20th century, in particular, the “Sadoi Fergana” newspaper published by the Jadids. Also, the articles published by the national Jadid patriots on the pages of this newspaper and their socio-economic ideas and views were carefully studied.
