Short implants for the management of strongly resorbed total edentulous: a case report

In implantology, the resorption of bone ridges, especially at the posterior region, is a constraint for standard dimensions implant placement, unless reconstructive surgery is envisaged, such as elevation of the sinus floor or augmentation of ridges, although widely used, these techniques, sometimes uncertain, require an additional surgical procedure, and an expensive cost. Hence the interest of short implants, which can offer us an alternative solution.

Arthroscopic management of elbow synovial chondromatosis: Case report

Synovial osteochondromatosis (SOC) is a mono-articular arthropathy rarely seen in diarthrodial joints. It occurs 3 times more in males than females and most often in those aged 30 to 50 years. It is a benign metaplastic proliferative disorder of the synovium characterised by the formation of multiple cartilagenous nodules in the synovium. With recent advances in arthroscopic techniques, the indications for arthroscopic treatment have been extended. We report a rare neglected case covering a 12-year period of a locally giant SOC of the elbow in a 30-year-old man.

Comprehensive utilization of high alumina coal fly ash under the recyclable economy model

The latest research progress on the utilization of fly ash with high concentration alumina is summarized in this paper. High-alumina fly ash has been accidentally found in central and western regions of Inner Mongolia in recent years. The high content of Al2O3 (up to 50%) and the enrichments of some useful elements, such as gallium, titanium and light rare earth make it a valuable renewable resource. A comprehensive technique route utilizing fly ash was researched and developed.

Virtual empirical research and understanding double integral

Research in mathematics and science education reveals a disconnect for students as they attempt to apply their mathematical knowledge to science and engineering. This means that teaching of a mathematical concept is easy for a teacher but learning is difficult for his or her students. With this conclusion in mind, this paper investigates a particular calculus topic that is used frequently in science and engineering: the double integral..

Learning English through the constructivist model based on the implementation of a technique called class view / class learned

The teaching methodologies every day are innovating because the educational context requires it, for this reason it is our objective in the presentation of this work we can show a teaching method designed and developed by Marcos Andrés Colín López, Ph.D since At the time of applying it, it was possible to obtain and reduce the failure rates in the classroom in a percentage, considerably favorable, with respect to the traditional method, therefore the learning was designed to suit the students who so required.
