Scientific orientation of tribal farm women and its relationship with their contribution in agriculture and animal husbandry

Agricultural production plays a significant role in the Indian economy. In India, women and agriculture seem synonymous terms. One can not think of agriculture without women. There is hardly any activity in agriculture except ploughing, where women are not involved. The tribal farmwoman shares with her husband the arduous burden of farm work in addition to her major responsibility as home maker, by helping in all other agricultural and animal husbandry activities.

Effect of different salt concentration on seed germination and seedling growth of different varieties of oat (avena sativa l.)

Oats (Avena sativa L.) is a winter cereal forage crop. Oat crops are generally less sensitive to soil acidity and salt stress. Salinity is a global problem for limiting plant growth and agriculture productivity in many areas of the world. An experiment was conducted in perti dishes lined with Whatman filter paper at the room temperature. Salinity tolerance of seven oat varieties (JHO-822, Kent, OL-9, OL-125, UPO-212, UPO-94 and NDO-2) were investigated on the basis of seed germination and seedling growth. Different salinity levels (25, 50, 75 and 100 mM NaCl) were used.

Chemoprevention of dmba induced skin carcinogenesis in swiss albino mice by quinine sulfate

7, 12-dimethylbenz (a) anthracene induced and croton oil promoted mouse skin carcinogenesis is a useful murine model to show genetic and biological changes involved in tumor promotion, and also for selecting of new cancer protective agents, because this model displays a preneoplastic condition during carcinogenesis in the form of papillomas, which are easily visible.

Enzymatic productivity and molecular characterization of intestinal bacteria of yellow molly (poecilia latipinna) in relation to growth

The present study deals with the enzymatic productivity and molecular characterization of intestinal bacteria of yellow molly. The identified intestinal bacteria was Escherichia sp., (YM1), Pseudomonas sp., (YM2), Staphylococcus sp., (YM3), Aeromonus sp., (YM4), Streptococcus sp., (YM5). The intestinal bacteria were qualitatively screened on the basis of their extra cellular enzyme producing ability and molecular characterization of intestinal bacteria.

The length weight relationship and condition factor of the thinlip mullet liza ramada and the flathead grey mullet mugilcephalus (mugilidae) fishes from ain el-ghzala lagoon, eastern libya

A random sample of 90 fish of two Mugilidae species (Liza ramada, and Mugilcephalus) was taken from Ain El-Ghazala lagoon, Eastern Libya during September 2013 – August 2014. The length-weight relationship, the condition factor and the sex ratio were conducted for the two species. The length-weight relationship was W=0.016L2.847 for L. ramadaand and W= 0.014L2.892for M. Cephalus. Both species exhibited negative isometric growth. L. ramada condition factor was high during summer (1.115196) and low during winter (0.999256), while M.

Immunodetection of fenthion in food samples using avian antibodies

A simple competitive immunoassay was developed for the detection of fenthion in food samples. We employed the avian antibodies (IgY) that recognised fenthion as a capture reagent and fenthion-alkaline phosphatise conjugate as an enzyme label. The assay depended on the competitive binding between the antibody and fenthion extracted from spiked food samples for binding sites with immobilised fenthion-OVA conjugate.

Comparative study of groundwater quality of urban andrural areas of Ajmer district

Safe drinking water is the primary need of every human being. Ground water is believed to be clean and free from pollutants as compared to the surface water. So it is being used invariably as amajor source for drinking, domestic and irrigation purposes in both urban and rural are as (Gupta et al., 2009). In the present investigation the ground water quality of the urban and rural areas of Ajmer district of Rajasthan state of India has been extensively studied & comparative study is also carried out assess the ground water quality is to the rural and urban blocks with in the districts.

Trigonometric curve fitting and an application

In this study, information was given about sinusoidal functions, that is to say, trigonometric functions. A trigonometric curve fitting was performed on the basis of a data set so that error sum of squares could be minimum. The ratio of air relative humidity (%) was investigated during the time period between 02.11.2012 at 00:00 PM and 06.11.2012 at 11:00 PM at Cebeci, Cankaya, Demetevler and Sincan districts of Ankara province. As a result of the analysis performed it was found that while the air humidity was lower during 09:00 AM -07: 00 PM.

Effect Of Energy Drinks’ (Natural And Synthetic) On Ovariole Number And Body Size Of D.Melanogaster

Dietary composition is one of the primary experimental factors that affects many aspects of animal physiology including life span, general health, and reproductive potential hence present study has been undertaken in Drosophila melanogaster to study effect of synthetic and natural energy drink based media on ovariole number and wing length, In the present study the flies of Drosophila melanogaster reared in synthetic and natural energy drink based media were used the results showed that the flies fed on natural energy drink had consumed significantly greater quantity of food compared to fli
