Resistant and susceptible response of finger millet to seedling blast (pyricularia grisea sacc.)

25 accessions of finger millet, 20 from Parbat and 5 from Khotang, were experimented at nursery stage in randomized complete block design at Institute of Agriculture and Animal Science (IAAS), Rampur, Chitwan from July 2015 to September 2015 to identify the resistance response against seedling blast. Inoculation was done by piling up of diseased leaves in trenches between the beds. Ten plants from each plot were tagged randomly and disease severity was assessed by scoring on a 0-9 scale for 4 times at 6 days interval from 22 days after sowing (DAS) onwards.

Hepatoprotective effect of phyllanthus niruri aqueous extract on paracetamol induced stress in the fish anabas testudineus

Present study clearly demonstrates the ameliorating effects of Phyllanthus niruri extract on hepatic injury caused by repeated paracetamol dosing in fishes. Activitiey of serum Alkaline phosohatase in the paracetamol treated group had a sharp and significant increase as compared to a healthy control group indicating successful induction of hepatotoxicity by repeated dosing of paracetamol. Histopathological studies also indicated significant alterations in liver architecture in paracetamol treated animals compared to the normal control group, further indicating liver damage.

It has been observed that parochial human settlement premises are drastically changing from the core religious missions to other non-religious activities resulting to unknown and undefined parochial human settlement morphology. Basically morphological transformation is the science of building form related to architectural aesthetics of built environment.

Medicines are used by patients to control or cure their diseases and ailments. Drug therapy is becoming more and more complex with the introduction of new medicines and newer techniques in healthcare. Errors that are occurring during prescribing, dispensing, administration of medication and in patient compliance is known as medication errors. They can sometimes cause serious adverse effects in patients, including impairment and death.

The commercial production of silk is called as “Sericulture” which is a labour intensive, agro-based cottage industry, ideally suited not only to India but to all developing countries of tropical belt. Mulberry silkworm (Bombyx mori L.) is a monophagous & multivoltine insect since it is a producer of silk. There are many factors that influence the success of silk production. Bacterial flacherie considered the most important factor. Flacherie is a Syndrome associated with bacterial disease.

Prevalence and characterization of campylobacter jejuni in small-scale poultry slaughter house

The aim of the current work was to evaluate the prevalence, antimicrobial susceptibility and biofilm formation of Campylobacter jejuni isolated from different poultry meat retail shop. The samples were collected from different slaughtering level. Chicken sampling at slaughterhouses was performed for Knife, Liver, Chest, Intestine, Machine, Chopping board, weighing balance and washing water (each 7). Totally 41 isolates were identified as Campylobacter jejuni and were tested for susceptibility to 10 antimicrobial agents by the disk diffusion method.

Survey and surveillance of insect pest complex and associated bioagents of cajanus cajan (Pigeon pea) of chapra, Bihar

Cajanus cajan (Pigeon pea) is economically an important crop which provides high quality vegetable protein and high nutritional value. But different biotic and abiotic factors like weather, temperature, insect pests and different diseases constraint the potential yield of crop. In view of little information on diversity of insect pest and their infestation on various growth phases of this crop under varied climatic condition of this region, survey was conducted in different areas i.e., Telpa, Rouja and Katra of chapra. A total of 3 fields were surveyed weekly from Oct to March 2015-2016.
