A study to assess the effectiveness of continuing nursing education programme for staff nurses regarding ventilator bundle care on knowledge, knowledge on practice and preventing the occurrence of ventilator associated pneumonia at smvmch, puducherry

Ventilator-associated pneumonia is a type of lung infection that occurs in people who are on mechanical ventilation breathing machines in hospitals. As such, VAP typically affects critically ill persons that are in an intensive care unit (ICU). The primary objective of the study is to find out the effectiveness of CNE by assessing the knowledge, practice and preventing the occurrence of ventilator associated pneumonia. VAP before and after implementing CNE. The research design is one group pre and post test with convenient sampling technique of 30 staff nurses were selected.

Concern about environmental deterioration is one of the most relevant problems among international community. Morocco had agreed to Kyoto protocol, Paris Agreement, organized the COP22 with an ambitious agenda and NDC program. Morocco is as well engaged in huge investments in solar (NOOR 1, 2, 3), wind and renewable energies. We are interested in this paper in understanding the determinants of the ecological behavior of Moroccan youth.

Continuing education in biosecurity standards for ecological collectors

For some time now, various changes have been made in the area of ecological waste collection in the municipality of Manta, to improve the quality of life of citizens and collecting workers, but there are still various risk factors that can to affect the quality and well-being of those who work directly in the garbage collection. Comparison between the effect of myofascial trigger point release therapy and ultrasonic therapy in trigger points of upper trapezitis

Objectives: To compare the effect of myofascial trigger point release and ultrasonic therapy in trigger points of upper trapezitis. Design: Experimental design with randomized control trial type Setting: The study was conducted at SRM Medical Hospital & Research Center, Kattankulathur. Procedure: 30 subjects diagnosed with upper trapezitis, were divided into two groups, each group is given with different treatment method, one with myofascial trigger release where as other with ultrasonic therapy.

Prevalence of overweight and obesity among first year health science students of srm university

Background: Obesity is highly associated with development of life-style diseases such as diabetes mellitus, hyper tension, cardiovascular diseases etc. Since a status of obesity among the first year students is not known we intended to investigate it. OBJECTIVES: To assess the prevalence of obesity and over-weight among First year of Health Science students and its associated factors. Methodolgy: An Analytical Cross-Sectional Study of 262 normal healthy 2013-2014 batch of undergraduate students, both the genders with age group 17-20 years were included in the study.

(RICK) which included 50male and female cancer patients with age ranged between 25-90 years, weighing 40-90kg were used in the study.

Introduction: Patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) have a high mortality due to cardiovascular disease (CV) associated with the presence of accelerated subclinical atherosclerosis, this atherosclerosis is one of the main factors for CV mortality. Material and methods: Cross-sectional study, included patients diagnosed with SLE from December 2016 to July 2017. Patients were classified into 2 groups: active and non-active SLE.
