Characteristics of the patients under kidney transplantation in madagascar

Chronic kidney disease is worldwide public health problem. Inaccessibility for treatment is common in developing countries. In Madagascar, among patients with end stage renal disease, less than 3% have an accessibility for kidney transplantation. The goal of the study is to determine the characteristics of the patients who benefitted kidney transplantation. We have conducted one retrospective study in two centers in the Capital. We included all patients kidney transplanted from 1st of January 1987 to 31st of December 2016.

Heat input optimization andprediction analysis for tig welding process

Heat input during welding can compromise the final quality of a weld and also add to the shortening life span of the components. One of the major effect of excessive heat input on weldments is microstructure alteration of the weld area. Therefore to obtain a quality weld, one need to take into cognizance the amount of heat being introduced into a weld zone. This research is aimed to optimize and predict heat input needed for fusion welding of mild steel plate.

Mediating democracy: the place, roles and obligations of the media in kenya’s 2013 elections

This article examines the role of the media Kenya’s 2013 elections. While the media plays a critical role democratic processes and many celebrate its role in the provision of information and platform for the engagement with issues and various actors, Kenya’s media has sometimes failed to offer meaningful coverage, analysis and interrogation of various political actors, activities and documents, including politicians, political parties and their manifestoes and promises.

Studies on ethanolic extract of cynodon dactylon and their effect on aflatoxin intoxicated albino rats

Aflatoxin is an environmental toxicant which frequently contaminates foodstuffs in different parts of the world. The present investigation was an attempt to evaluate the possible ameliorative effects of Cynodon dactylon on aflatoxins induced serological and biochemical changes in liver of rats. In the current study, toxicity was developed by oral administration of aflatoxin at a dose of (500 µg/kg body weight) for 30 days in rats. C. dactylon (500 mg/kg body weight) was given simultaneously for 30 days. Administration of C.

“Comparison between speed control dc motor using fuzzy pid and pso-pid algorithm”

DC motor speed control in this paper papers fuzzy logic controller and particle swarm optimization technique has been compared. The application of particle swarm optimization for adjusting the gains of proportional-integral-derivative (PID) controller parameters of a DC motor is presented and Fuzzy logic controllers are the successful applications of fuzzy set theory. Here, the model of a DC motor speed control is considered as a second order system.

Effect of cassia auriculata l on plasma antioxidants in streptozotocin- nicotinamide induced experimental diabetes

Clinical research has confirmed the efficacy of several photochemicals in the modulation of oxidative stress associated with diabetes mellitus. In the present study, we have investigated the effect of Cassia auriculata L (CFEt), on antioxidants status in streptozotocin - nicotinamide induced diabetic rats.

Preventive effects of cassia auriculata on brain lipid peroxidation streptozotocin diabetic rats

Oxidative damage has been suggested to be a contributory factor in development and complication of diabetes. To investigate the effect of Cassia auriculata L (CFEt) on the occurrence of oxidative stress in the brain of rats during diabetes we investigated the extent of oxidative damage as well as the status of the antioxidant defense system. Oral administration of CFEt (0.45 g/kg) to diabetic rats for 45 days resulted in a significant reduction in blood glucose and significant increase in plasma insulin levels.
